Single Purpose

Google Messages Filter & Bulk Delete has a single purpose: to help users filter, select, review, and delete conversations from Google Messages for web.

Information Collected

This extension handles visible Google Messages conversation-list content only while you use its filtering, selection, loading, and deletion features. This may include contact names, phone numbers, conversation previews, timestamps, unread status, message direction, avatars, conversation links, and other visible page content needed to identify and manage conversations.

Conversation content is processed locally in your browser. It is not uploaded to the developer, sold, shared, or transferred to external servers.

The extension may temporarily keep information about loaded or selected conversations in page memory so it can maintain filtered views, display an accurate deletion-review list, and process selected conversations. This temporary information is cleared when the page is closed or reloaded.

The extension also stores interface preferences through Chrome extension storage, such as which tabs, filters, and management controls are enabled. Message content is not stored in Chrome extension storage.

How Information Is Used

The extension uses visible Google Messages page content only to provide its filtering and bulk-management functionality. This includes:

• Filtering conversations by sender type, unread status, or reply status
• Loading additional conversations from the Google Messages sidebar
• Allowing users to select multiple conversations
• Showing the exact selected conversations before deletion
• Automating Google Messages' existing Move to trash process
• Displaying deletion progress
• Restoring the conversation-list scroll position after loading more conversations

The extension accesses Google Messages for web only for the purpose of helping you filter, select, review, and manage conversations.

Data Sharing

This extension does not sell, rent, transfer, or share conversation content or other user data with third parties.

Conversation information remains local to your browser and is used only while providing the extension's features.

Data Categories

This extension locally handles personally identifiable information, personal communications, user activity, and website content from Google Messages for web.

This may include displayed contact names, phone numbers, conversation previews, timestamps, unread indicators, message direction, user selections, button clicks, and sidebar scroll position.

The extension does not collect health information, financial or payment information, authentication information, location data, or web browsing history.

Data Control

You control which filters are active, which conversations are selected, and whether selected conversations are moved to trash.

Before deletion begins, the extension displays a review screen listing the conversations selected for deletion. The deletion process begins only after you confirm the selection.

You can stop loading additional conversations and keep the progress made so far. You can also disable individual filter tabs, loading controls, and selection or deletion features through the extension menu.

Removing the extension will remove settings stored by the extension from your browser. Temporary conversation information is cleared when the Google Messages page is closed or reloaded.

Limited Use

User data handled by Google Messages Filter & Bulk Delete is used only for the extension's single purpose: filtering, selecting, reviewing, and managing conversations in Google Messages for web.

The extension does not use or transfer user data for purposes unrelated to this single purpose. The extension does not use user data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
